Masters Research Presentation “Embodiment and Empowerment: Karlheinz Stockhausen’s ORCHESTER-FINALISTEN”

Elisabeth’s project, "Embodiment and Empowerment: Karlheinz Stockhausen's 'ORCHESTER-FINALISTEN'" is a research into the preparation and performance of Stockhausen's "ORCHESTER-FINALISTEN" from "MITTWOCH aus LICHT." This project identifies specific links between music and physicality and creates a toolkit for performers to become more aware of and confident in their bodies on stage. Through interviews, rehearsal observation, and personal experience, this project investigates how preparing and performing "ORCHESTER-FINALISTEN" can open the relationship between music and musician and allow the physical body to become a powerful and vital part of performance.
