aus LICHT - “Opera of the Year” 2019

Aus LICHT is a collaborative project of the Dutch National Opera, Holland Festival, Royal Conservatoire The Hague, and Stockhausen Foundation.

 
 
 

 

As a master's student in the Masterspecialistie aus LICHT, Elisabeth was a performing member of the project aus LICHT. The project brought to life large portions of Karlheinz Stockhausen's opera cycle "LICHT" in a marathon performance for the 2019 Holland Festival. Performances occured June 2019 in the Gashouder, Westerpark, Amsterdam under the direction of Pierre Audi.

From June 24, 2019, until June 23, 2022, a 90 minutes audio compilation of “aus LICHT” will be available on www.idagio.com. You need to subscribe for this classical music platform.

From November 2019 until April 2020 a 90 minutes video compilation of “aus LICHT” can be watched on https://www.arte.tv/en/arte-concert/ (free of charge).

Director Oeke Hoogendijk of the new Rijksmuseum follows the creation of “aus LICHT” in the new documentary “LICHT,” expected in cinemas in 2021.

INVASION-EXPLOSION

In March 2018, soloists and students of the Royal Conservatoire The Hague performed Stockhausen's INVASION-EXPLOSION from DIENSTAG aus LICHT. This performance was given as part of the 2018 Opera Forward Festival.

ORCHESTER-FINALISTEN

At Chosen Vale 2018, Elisabeth performed Stockhausen's TROMPETE from ORCHESTER-FINALISTEN, a scene from MITTWOCH aus LICHT.
